Got an email from our friend, Chas. He just spent 5 days in the hospital with some internal issues, and had his appendix removed.
He's not in a good mood (I wouldn't be, either)and isn't interested in talking to anyone right now, but I know you join me in wishing him a complete, speedy recovery.
On lots of levels, he's one of the "good guys" here.
He's a very private guy, and I hope he's OK with me letting "zoners" know...

My prayers are going to include a speedy recovery and healing for CHAS this week.
Get well soon, and may you start feeling much better, Chas.

WOW .. that's NOT an easy thing when you are 'older' ... I'm NOT saying chas is old, but appendicitis is usually handled better by younger people (kids) ... Wishing you a SPEEDY and COMPLETE recovery ... t. PS ... now you REALLY have a reason to "play some blues" t.

Chas is so appreciative of your kind wishes. He is in pretty rough shape. The appendix problem was not the major issue, and he's not yet sure what the problem(s) are and where all the pain and discomfort are coming from.
"I share your pain" is such a hackneyed expression, but, in this case, man, is it ever true.
It hurts to see someone you're so connected to hurting.

Just heard from Chas...still in rough shape...heading back to the Dr. for the second straight day...this time, for an "out-patient" procedure. Not being able to pinpoint the problem is rough !
He's feeling bad enough to skip a grandson's 5th birthday party; something he would NEVER do, if he could possibly make it.
I know we ALL wish him well! He particularly appreciates the support from his friend Ian.

chas ... hope you are on your way to a full recovery ... a few years ago after gall bladder surgery I had an e-coli infection ... painful as hell ... I would imagine your docs have checked for that ... wishing you a full, rapid recovery ... t.
